Since the twelfth century, Weston Park in Shropshire has been home to the de Weston, Mytton, Wilbraham, Newport and Bridgeman families in succession, and was gifted to the nation in 1986 by the 7th Earl of Bradford.

This study day was led by Gareth Williams, Curator and Head of Learning, assisted by Sally Goodsir of the Royal Collection Trust and former research intern at Weston Park, and explored the immensely rich collection of British portraits ranging from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries.
