I have been examining and researching portraits for more than 20 years. My particular interest is in Mary Beale (1633-1699) and her portrait studio, and the wider context of women, art production and patronage in Restoration London.

Details of books/publications relating to your work on British portraiture

‘Mary Beale and her ‘paynting room’ in London 1655 to 1699′ is the title of the thesis I plan to complete in 2011. I am currently preparing two articles related to my research.
